malibu

i want to dance. i REALLY actually want to dance. i cannot dance. i'm white, and therefore according to society i have no rhythm. i like not to dwell on this, but i do. i'm not saying i don't dance, but i tend to dance in an environment where i know everyone around me agrees that they also have "no rhythm" without actually saying it out loud. personally i think i have rhythm, just not one that matches the music (this is what others tell me, i think my rhythm matches completely). this was a bad way to start in the topic of my apparant "tone-deafness", but i feel like it's relevant. I'M NOT TONE DEAF. i may not be any good at singing, and i will be the first to admit that, but i'm not tone-deaf because i can play the piano just fine. another thing, if i want to sing along to a song and i don't sound any good singing along, do not stop me. i may be butchering the song, but seriously lay off. i love singing along no matter how horrible i sound next to the actual singer. it seriously upsets me when people tell me i'm ruining a song, i don't care that i'm ruining the song, i know the words to a song and i want to sing it. pfft.

on another note, people we need to schedule picnics for dates when it's actually nice out. i want no more of this movie-watching cop-outs because of rain.

I didn't know it was possible, but I'm getting sick of picnics. Especially ones that don't follow through.

I don't think I've even had a picnic yet.

Perhaps we need a new spin on picnics. WE should have a picninc in my old house when everything is moved out.
